Benefits of SEL Preschool
The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Preschool program offers students and families a strong foundation for educational success.

By participating in an integrated preschool program, students benefit from improved social skills, a broad range of learning experience, and an early
exposure and acceptance of students who learn and experience life differently from themselves.
Preschool provides a vital foundation for student success, ensuring students are ready to enter a classroom when they reach kindergarten age. Through play-based learning, students receive curriculum based on the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards.
Children with identified disabilities not only receive qualified services, but they also benefit from increased social relationships, modeled behavior from peers, and increased achievement of their IEP goals.
The experience for peer model students is equally rewarding. Peer model students achieve mastery through modeling for others, develop an early appreciation and acceptance of peers with differences, and some studies suggest participation in integrated preschools improve academic outcomes.
By offering an affordable, high-quality preschool program, the SEL Schools can ensure our students have a successful start to school and are developing socially, emotionally, and academically.
